Sara Rossi was born on January 15, 1983 in Brescia, Italy. Sara completed her second level academic degree (summa cum laude) on March 2009 at the “A. Boito” Conservatory in Parma, where she  graduated on July 2007. Sara Rossi complemented her artistic educational background with a degree in Scienze della Comunicazione, University of Parma in 2005.
She made her debut as Cesca in Gianni Schicchi on June 2008 at Teatro Bonci in Cesena under the baton of Giuseppe Carmelingo and the direction of Gabriella Madetti. She had also a fruitful and intense collaboration with the Teatro Regio of Parma where she interpreted various primary roles in the context of the “Imparo l’Opera” project. During the 2007 and 2008 editions, she performed in Damnation de Faust, and Così fan tutte. At the same time, she carried out notable roles in the Il Finto Stanislao during the Verdi’s Festival and she interpreted the Marchesa del Poggio at the Verdi’s Theater in Busseto (2007), Castello di Torrechiara (2007) and the Parma’s Regio Theater (2007 and 2008).
Sara Rossi has reached recognitions in prestigious vocal competitions and she was an award-winning finalist at the “Maria Caniglia” Competition in Sulmona (2008) and at the “Ismaele Voltolini di Buscoldo” Competition in Mantova (2006) and also first prize at Boni International Competition of Gazoldo degli Ippolit. She extended her interests to the chamber music, performing in Berio’s Folk songs (directed by P.P. Maurizzi, 2007), Mahler’s Kindertotenlieder (directed by A. Martelli, 2008) and Mozart’s Requiem (directed by R. Gianola, 2008). Her concert achievements also include a recent performance in honour of the Sweden Royal Family during a gala ceremony in Stockholm organized by the Italienska Kulturinistitutet. RAI Radio international also included her in the list of the best voices for emergent lyric talents during the Taccuino Italiano-Il paese del Melodramma  Program.
Sara Rossi was engaged by Aslico, Italian Lyric Circuit, 2009/10 for the productionHansel and Gretel of Humperdinck, where she appears in a double role (Witch and Mother) and perform in  numerous prestigious Italian theaters including Teatro Sociale (Como), Teatro Grande (Brescia), Teatro Alighieri (Ravenna), Tetaro Valli (Reggio Emilia), Teatro Bibiena (Mantova) and Teatro Arcimboldi (Milan), Verdi Theatre in Trieste, Comunale in Bologna, Pavarotti’s Theatre in Modena and Sistina in Rome.
In 2009/10 she turn her voice to the lyric soprano repertoire. In Februray 2010 she won first contest of Claudio Barbieri in Casalgrande and she debuted in La traviata at the Theatre De Andrè of Casalgrande. In May she won the second price at Rotary Opera Competition of  Sao Carlo’s Theatre in Lisbon, and in October she won the Third Price and Critica awards at Ritorna Vincitor Competition (Naples). She has recently performed Violetta at Teatro di Cento; she won the Competition ”Città di Ferrara” 2011, again for the titl-role of Traviata whichshe performed in April 2011.
